    Geshe Lhundup was born in 1976 in the Kham region of eastern Tibet. He became a monk at Patsang Monastery of the Yungdrung Bon tradition* and received Dzogchen teachings from the great masters Togden Drimey yungdrung. Togden Sherab Phuntsog, Togden Tsultrim Gaba, and Pala Daba Gyaltsen. (In 1993 in the sumar time he went to pilgrimage at Mount Kailash altitude 6656 and 50 kms round. He was there about tow months he did 19 circumambulation around Mount Kailash. In the end he walked destination to india with 29 Tibetans through himalaya it tooks about one month to Kathmandu Nepal. He had good chance to met Lopon Tenzin Namdak Rinpoche again.…

    Shamatha means “peaceful abiding” or “tranquility.” Also called mindfulness or concentration meditation, shamatha is an important introductory practice that leads to the practice of vipashyana, or insight meditation. The purpose of shamatha meditation is to stabilize the mind by cultivating a steady awareness of the object of meditation. The traditional practice of shamatha uses different kinds of supports or anchors for our practice. Eventually, this leads to practicing without supports and meditating on emptiness itself in an open awareness.
